"Dear Lowes. Here's my song “What Is America.” I was raised an All-American southern boy, bluegrass fiddler and Eagle Scout. Record execs told me I “couldn't have a career in the US with an Arabic name.” After 9/11, I was blacklisted, a Swat team even came to shut down my show at the Univ. of Arizona believing I was a terrorist. I'm not alone. This Is not America. Let’s Occupy Tolerance. Let’s reclaim Equality.
