CHANGE THE UMMAH: Attend Knowledge Without Barriers
CHANGE THE UMMAH, SUPPORT SEEKERSGUIDANCE. HERE'S WHY.
We live in times of crisis.
Some facets of this crisis are evident to the naked eye. Financial turmoil, political conflict, social unrest, and moral decay. Even within the Muslim community which was raised as a witness unto mankind seems to be mired in a state of confusion and paralysis. Yet, these outward problems are but a drop in the pond of the broader spiritual problems facing mankind. If only we could physically see the consequences of sin and the blemishing of our hearts that materialism, institutionalized through the mechanisms of capitalism, perhaps then would we be inspired to change.
And yet even amidst all of this darkness, it is possible for change to happen. In fact, change can happen over night. Our faith is not one based on pessimism but one of tempered optimism. We are optimistic of our our situation as individuals and as communities because we have a good opinion of our Lord whose mercy overcomes His wrath. Underlying the chaos today is a deep and profound cosmic wisdom which would be evident as the light of day if only we polished our hearts with the fabric of dhikr.
Islam is not a deistic faith, we do not believe our Rabb created us and left us in this grand theater to work things out on our own accord. Rather, He is omniscient and omnipotent and is fully aware of our condition, more so than our own selves. The burden of change is not in His hands but in ours. If we seek to improve the condition of our Ummah we must take the first step and improve our own condition.
I write this to ask you to support the remarkable work that SeekersGuidance is doing. They are perhaps the only online Islamic educational institute that has opted to make all of its courses online for free. They do so because they understand that we live in desperate times where people are in need of guidance and unfortunately our institutions lack the resources or know how to provide them that. This desire to disseminate the mercy of guidance to all of mankind is the inspiration behind the aptly named KNOWLEDGE WITHOUT BARRIERS online Islamic conference. What other online Islamic educational institute would make such a sacrifice? I can think of no other.
But the obligation of providing guidance to our community and within it is not solely the burden of our 'Ulema. It is a communal obligation, meaning that each of us must play our part in supporting institutions like SeekersGuidance and Zaytuna College. If these institutions are not funded, then make no mistake, they will collapse and then our community will only be further mired into crisis mode.
It is clear that our Ummah needs a new vision and a new course of action. Don't miss out on this important opportunity to support one of the finest Islamic educational institutes around.

The Prophet Muhammed, peace and blessings upon him, was sent as a teacher and light of guidance to the entire universe. The greatest responsibility of his community is to preserve and transmit this prophetic guidance. SeekersGuidance is successfully breaking the barriers between seekers and Prophetic guidance through Knowledge Without Barriers — making our courses, programs, and educational services free and globally accessible.
